Fieldfisher appoints Pedro Claros as international arbitration partner
Fieldfisher has appointed Pedro Claros as partner and Head of Practice of the International Arbitration practice in its Madrid office, incorporating, for the first time, this practice area in the Spanish firm. Antonio Delgado will join Pedro’s team as international arbitration of counsel.

Pedro Claros
Pedro is a lawyer, arbitrator and jurist specialized in international litigation and arbitration since 1997. He holds a Master’s degree in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center (Washington, DC), which he attended thanks to a Fulbright scholarship, specializing in international and investment arbitration.
He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management (ICADE E-3), which makes him particularly qualified for any type of damage, financial, tax or accounting analysis when defending or deciding in law any dispute submitted to arbitration.
Pedro has a long professional career, having worked in law firms such as Garrigues, for more than 7 years, and Cuatrecasas, for more than 15 years. In recent years, before joining Fieldfisher, Pedro has developed his career in his own boutique, Claros Abogados, from where, among other matters, in addition to acting as arbitrator, he continued to defend international investors in arbitrations against Spain under the Energy Charter Treaty
Antonio Delgado
As of February 1, Antonio Delgado will join Pedro’s team as international arbitration of counsel. Antonio has more than 18 years of experience in commercial arbitration and investment disputes, practicing in several jurisdictions, including Madrid, London and Geneva. He is recognized as an expert in disputes in sectors such as energy and construction, as well as in cases related to foreign direct investment. Antonio will be operating in Central America so for one year he will be based in Costa Rica and Spain.
