CMS advises Playtomic on the acquisition of Sportclubby

In a strategic move, CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has provided advisory expertise to the Spanish startup Playtomic, a renowned digital platform for racket sports reservations, in the acquisition of Sportclubby, an Italian company specializing in digital sports reservation management. The acquisition of Sportclubby expands Playtomic’s reach and solidifies its position in the digital sports reservation landscape.

The seasoned CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo’s team leading this operation was headed by partner Alfonso Codes (public law and regulated sectors, pictured left), and associate José Luis Rodríguez (corporate/M&A, pictured right). The collaborative effort also included partner Carlos Peña (corporate/ M&A), alongside with Alberto Mata, counsel Borja Vázquez and associate Rodrigo Urosa (all banking and finance).

Given the cross-border nature of this transaction, the entire team collaborated closely with our Milan office.
