Eversheds Sutherland and KPMG advise on the acquisition of an 80% stake in Hugworld International
Eversheds Sutherland and KPMG Abogados has advised Sherpa Capital on the acquisition of an 80% stake in Hugworld International, the manufacturer of Cristalinas air fresheners. Cristalinas is the leading brand in the air freshener market, enjoying a significant presence in Spain through its own label on the shelves of major retailers such as Carrefour, Alcampo, Tesco, and Leroy Merlin.

The acquisition by Sherpa Capital is expected not only to double the turnover but also to facilitate the company’s deeper internationalization in Europe, the US, and Latin America. Sherpa Capital aims to surpass a sales figure of Euro 50 Million.
The Eversheds Sutherland team in Spain was led by the Head of PE practice, Sixto de la Calle Peral, with support from legal director María Ramalle Quiñones and associate Ana González Orcajo (pictured). The broader team included partner Antonio Cuellar (tax) and counsel Teresa Salinas Pozo (labour).

KPMG Abogados team has been formed by Aida Sobral (Director), Ángel Bustamante (Director) and Francisco Fernández (partner), respectively. The teams in charge of the tax, legal and labor due diligence included: María José Machicado (Senior Manager), Álvaro López Sahuquillo (Associate), Cristina Bachofer and Belén Martín de Vidales (Junior).
