Aledra hires Alex Parigot to lead its new ESG division

Aledra, a legal practice with roots deeply embedded in the esteemed Colón de Carvajal Abogados firm, is venturing into new territory with the establishment of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) department. Leading this initiative is Alex Parigot, a seasoned expert in corporate environmental law, joining the project as Of Counsel. This strategic move aims to enhance comprehensive advisory services for corporate clients, marking ESG as an indispensable component in contemporary business law, according to Aledra.

Alex Parigot brings a wealth of experience to Aledra, having previously worked with prestigious firms such as Baker & McKenzie and Forbes-recognized Arthur D´Little Consulting in 2023 as one of the best management consulting firms in America. With over two decades of experience in business law, specializing in environmental and regulatory consultation, Parigot has played a pivotal role in significant projects across LATAM, the US, and Europe. Notably, he led the coordination of a comprehensive site assessment plan for a major oil company, evaluating over 1,000 locations throughout LATAM.

In addition to his legal practice, Parigot has served as a member of the Environmental Council of the Federation of Industries of São Paulo, a powerful industry representative entity in LATAM. He also held the position of Sustainability Director at the Brazilian Institute of Finance Executives.

Aledra’s strategic move to bring Parigot on board underscores its commitment to offering cutting-edge legal services, aligning with the evolving landscape of corporate responsibility and sustainability.
