KPMG Abogados appoints five new partners
KPMG Abogados has appointed five new partners at the beginning of its new fiscal year: Montserrat Montoya, Noemí Brito, Cristina Concepción, Paloma Rubalcaba and Guillermo Rodríguez. These appointments are in line with the firm’s strategic objectives, among which is to increase the presence of women in the partnership.
Noemí Brito
Noemí Brito, new partner of IT&IP and Legal Operations & Transformation Services (LOTS) has more than 20 years of professional experience in Information Technology and Digital Transformation. She is focused on advising to promote the transformation of the legal sector and innovative and alternative legal services, such as managed legal services.
Cristina Concepción
Cristina Concepción, new partner of the corporate taxation area of KPMG Abogados, is specialized in providing recurring day-to-day tax advice to national and international groups in different sectors (Renewable Energies, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Telecommunications, etc.) and with a specific focus on the tax consolidation regime. She also advises clients in the course of tax audits carried out by the Spanish Tax Authorities and has extensive experience in national tax planning, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions.
Montserrat Montoya
Montserrat Montoya, new partner in the indirect taxation area, has more than 22 years of experience in indirect tax advice to national and multinational groups in all sectors, including real estate, tourism, retail and the public sector.
Guillermo Rodríguez
On the other hand, Guillermo Rodríguez, new tax partner for the financial sector, has focused especially on tax advice in M&A transactions in the financial sector, both due diligence and tax structuring work, asset finance transactions (including, among others, R&D projects, ships, airplanes, trains and film productions), as well as assistance to international funds in the tax aspects of their in-bound investments in Spain.
Paloma Rubalcaba
Paloma Rubalcaba, has 22 years of experience in different positions and functions within the firm. Since 2016 Paloma is the Head of Operations at KPMG Abogados, bringing her front-office experience to internal management. During these years she has contributed to implement significant improvements in the different areas of the firm Tax & Legal, supporting partners, promoting cross-cutting and wellness initiatives and increasing the profitability of the business structure.
This area, led by Alberto Estrelles, managing partner of KPMG Abogados, has more than 900 professionals in Spain and 40,000 distributed in more than 140 countries, reaching 57 partners in Spain.
