Ejaso advises on the €2.8m financial restructuring of VALECUATRO CUEROS

Ejaso has advised VALECUATRO CUEROS in a financial restructuring plan whose amount reached €2,8m. The brand with presence in the retail sector, will be able to continue its expansion in a solid and sustainable way.

The law firm advised on the development and execution of this operation, whose objective was to implement a restructuring plan and refinance all the long-term financial debt. In addition, the lawyers have carried out renewals and extensions of working capital with the inclusion of dissident financial creditors.

This operation is part of the restructuring plans established by the reform of the TRLC following the approval of law 16/2022 transposing directive 1023/2019 on early restructuring frameworks.

In the words of Jose Vicente Roldán, partner of the commercial area of Ejaso, “the relevant aspect of the transaction is that it has allowed a brand with a strong presence in the retail sector to continue its expansion. In the present restructuring plan, it is intended to drag two dissident entities and extend the effects of the plan to them. In addition, and on a bilateral level, unique agreements have been reached outside the plan with non-financial creditors, which have allowed to complement the bonus effects of the agreement with the financial institutions, who have shown special sensitivity and have rowed in favor of the agreement”.
