Eversheds Sutherland advises on Be Mate’s shareholder reorganization

Eversheds Sutherland Spain has advised Be Mate Apartments in the reorganization of its shareholding resulting from the exit of Room Mate Hotels after the sale of its stake in favor of a new investor, Barlon Capital, and the existing shareholders, Javier Rubió and Alex García.

This shareholder change has been accompanied by a capital increase of 11.5 million subscribed by these investors, who take control of the group.

This transaction marks a milestone in the growth and development of the Be Mate group, which will allow it to consolidate its growth in the cities where it is already present and explore new opportunities in emerging markets.

The transaction has been led by our corporate M&A team – Diego Cruz-Villalón (counsel), María Ramalle Quiñones (legal director), Mercedes Olmedo González (lawyer) and with the intervention of Javier Ibáñez Gabernet (real estate partner).
