Andersen advise on the acquisition of Italy’s Effegi
Andersen has advised Krustagroup, a Spanish company specializing in the marketing and distribution of seafood products, on the purchase of a majority stake in the Italian company Effegi Service.
The Spanish company Krustagroup, specialized in the marketing and distribution of fish and seafood, has acquired a majority stake in the Italian company Effegi Service, a company with more than 25 years of activity in the distribution of seafood and vegetables in Italy. Krustagroup, whose exports accounted for 57.3% of its sales in 2022, thus boosts its growth strategy in the European market, and especially in the Italian market, where the company concentrated 10% of its total sales volume last year.
Krustagroup and Effegi’s business relationship dates back to 2000. Following this transaction, both companies will maintain their legal structures and operate independently. The two organizations will seek to leverage synergies to enhance their growth in the Italian market.
