Andersen incorporates new head of the real estate department in Lisbon

Andersen announces the integration of Bernardo Silveira as head of the firm’s real estate department in Lisbon. This strategic hire reflects the continued expansion and development of Andersen’s real estate area in the domestic market.

Bernardo Silveira holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Lisbon and a solid 10-year career in real estate law. Throughout his career, Bernardo Silveira has accumulated a great deal of valuable experience, especially during his time as a lawyer at Cuatrecasas and Morais Leitão, where he actively participated in several of the most important transactions in the Portuguese property sector in recent years.

Bernardo Silveira’s knowledge and professional background in this area are an invaluable asset for ensuring the sustained growth of the property department, which has received an increased recognition by its clients in the last years.

“Hiring Bernardo is perfectly in line with Andersen’s strategy of expanding and strengthening its Real Estate practice. This is an essential part of our strategic growth plan and reinforces our ongoing commitment to our clients,” said Mariana Aires de Abreu, partner at Andersen in Lisbon.

“It’s an honour to be able to join Andersen to lead a department that is structural to the firm’s expansion strategy, and I hope to make a positive contribution to the growth and reinforcement of the specialisation of this practice area with our clients,” says Bernardo Silveira, the new head of the firm’s real estate area.

Andersen remains committed to providing global and transversal advice to its clients, and the addition of Bernardo Silveira represents another step towards excellence in the real estate area.
