Deloitte Legal incorporates new of counsel
Deloitte Legal strengthens its digital law department with the incorporation of Vicente Moret as ‘of counsel’ with the aim of promoting one of the main strategic challenges of the firm such as the digital transformation of companies.
Vicente Moret has extensive experience in providing legal advice to both national and international companies on cybersecurity, technology regulation, as well as legal support for the development of projects related to cloud services, artificial intelligence and big data.
Moret is an attorney of the General Courts in the Congress of Deputies and belongs to the Superior Corps of Civil Administrators of the State on leave of absence. He has been the attorney of the National Security Commission of said Chamber, and secretary of the Spanish Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
With a degree in Law from the University of Valencia, Vicente Moret is a professor of Digital Law at IE Law School and regularly participates as a speaker, among others, at the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), the Joint Cyberspace Command and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). He also actively collaborates in the National Cybersecurity Forum.
In the words of Nicolás de Gaviria, managing partner of Deloitte Legal, “the incorporation of Vicente is a further step in strengthening one of the key areas of the firm such as digital law. In an economic and regulatory context in which digitalization plays an increasingly relevant role in companies, we believe it is vital to accompany them in this transformation process where our multidisciplinary approach allows us to offer a differential experience to our clients in such a relevant area in their corporate strategy”.
With the arrival of Vicente Moret, the firm led by Nicolás de Gaviria underpins its growth strategy after reaching a turnover of 142 million in 2022 with a team of more than 650 professionals.
