HCR and Tribeca Abogados sign an international alliance
The British law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys and the Spanish firm Tribeca Abogados have entered into a strategic alliance with the aim of expanding their respective practice areas and teams when advising clients in Spain and the United Kingdom.
This agreement responds to the growing interest of clients operating in both countries. The Spanish firm, which specializes in commercial, corporate, tax, real estate and urban planning law, among other areas, thus reinforces its international presence.
The firms have a long history of collaboration, especially in advising companies in the technology sector, and in mergers and acquisitions, as well as in numerous matters with an international component.
The alliance will allow Tribeca Abogados to establish its office at HCR’s London headquarters, where Spanish lawyer Héctor Brito (qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales) will be based, in addition to strengthening its advice on employment, litigation and regulatory law in the UK. In turn, HCR’s clients will benefit from the expertise of Tribeca Abogados in Spain and there will be an exchange of lawyers from both teams between the HCR and Spanish offices.
Rod Thomas, Managing Partner of HCR, comments: “This is an excellent opportunity for both firms, which already have a long history of working together to support their clients’ growth plans. For us it is also an enhancement of our services, as an increasing proportion of our work has an international component”.
Juan Bezares, partner at Tribeca Abogados, says: “By consolidating our presence in London, we will be able to work even more closely with HCR which will undoubtedly benefit our clients in two ways: firstly, in all their M&A activity in the UK and secondly, they will have access to all HCR’s practice areas in those matters which fall outside our traditional areas of expertise or which require additional resources because they are larger and more complex. In addition, we will be able to support more English companies wishing to invest or do business in Spain”.
This alliance is designed to complement existing services and will not interfere with the autonomy of either firm.
