Various law firms advise on the sale of Planasa

KPMG Abogados, Baker McKenzie, Pérez Llorca, Deloitte Legal and Garrigues have advised on the sale of Planasa.

International private equity firm Cinven today announces that it has agreed to sell Planasa (‘the company’ or ‘the group’), a global leader in the agri-tech sector, to strategic buyer EW Group, a family-owned international group, with key businesses in genetics, health, diagnostics, nutrition and food. Financial details of the transaction are not disclosed.

KPMG Abogados has advised EW Group with tax due diligence and tax assitance during the deal. David Pascual Izquierdo has formed this team.

Baker McKenzie has advised EW Group with a core team: Mohammed Almarini, Luis Casals, Luis Fuster, Javier Méndez and Pablo García (corporate / M&A) and a supporting core lawyers: Jaime Martínez-Íñiguez (tax), Margarita Fernández (employment), Paloma Martínez-Lage (antitrust) y Alba Anegon (corporate / M&A). Lola Garayalde and Rubén Cano, partner and associate of the Intellectual property department also has been part of the team.

Pérez Llorca has advised Cinven. The team has been formed by: Javier Bau, corporate partner, Francisco Iso, corporate partner, Pablo Hontoria, corporate partner, Ana Ibarra, corporate attorney and Jorge González, corporate consultant.

Deloitte Legal has advised Cinven. The tax team integrated by: José María Gómez Rosende (partner), Javier Pérez Olivares (partner), Sergio Ramírez Soto (senior associate), Rafael Cabello (senior associate) and María González Muñoz (senior associate).

Garrigues has advised Label Investments. The team was formed by José Manuel Martín, partner from the corporate department of Madrid.
