Cuatrecasas advises on €87m euro sale of Sacyr Facilities to Serveo Group
Cuatrecasas has advised Sacyr Servicios, a subsidiary of Sacyr on the sale of shares representing 100% of the share capital of Sacyr Facilities to Grupo Serveo, owned by Portobello Capital, for 87 million euros. Sacyr Services could additionally receive 15 million euros for different claims in progress. The closing of the transaction -subject to obtaining, among others, the relevant regulatory authorizations- is expected to take place in the last quarter of 2023.
With this transaction, and following the sale of Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales, to a Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners fund, announced in June and in which Cuatrecasas also advised, Sacyr, continues to move forward in achieving the objectives of its 2021-2025 Strategic Plan. The transaction allows Sacyr to reduce its net recourse debt and, in addition, to continue promoting its concession businesses.
The transaction has been led by Francisco J. Martínez Maroto, partner of the corporate and M&A area, together with Carlota Tojo, Pedro López-Dóriga, Álvaro Lucena and Julián Ruan, of the same area. Multidisciplinary teams from their offices in Madrid, Santiago de Chile and Bogota have also participated in the advice, including Félix Plasencia, Carlos Lasarte, Julio Brasa, Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, Fernando Bernad, Andrew Ward, Alejandro Negro, Roberto Guerrero, Macarena Ravinet and Juan Felipe Vera, among others.
