PwC Tax & Legal incorporates new senior advisor
PwC Tax & Legal has hired Ana Buitrago, former general secretary and member of the management committee of Amazon Spain, Italy and Portugal, as senior advisor. With more than 23 years of experience in the regulatory and technology fields, she joins the firm’s NewLaw practice, led by Patricia Manca, as a senior advisor.
Graduate in Commercial Law from ICADE and LL.M magna cum laudem. She worked for eight years as a private lawyer at the law firm Uría Menéndez, with a break of 18 months to study for a Master’s degree in New York at Fordham University School of Law with a scholarship from the La Caixa Foundation and also to work in the London and New York offices of Sidley & Austin.
He has been, for more than twenty-two years, in the corporate field as head of legal departments, which began in 2000, when he joined Terra Networks. Then in 2002, he joined Iberdrola, to create from scratch the legal team of the newly created renewable energy subsidiary.
In 2012 he joined Amazon where he oversaw the legal aspects of everything the company did in Spain.

In 2019 he also led Amazon’s legal practice in the UK, while during the Covid-19 pandemic he also led the German legal practice for ten months; and since summer 2021 he was in charge of the merged Spain-Italy team. After more than 11 years at Amazon, in 2023 he left his position and started a new phase.
She is a member of the advisory board of Atrevis and Igenostrum, as well as vice-president of the ICAM Foundation and member of the governing board of the Madrid Bar Association.
