Baker McKenzie advises Indotek, international real estate fund based in Budapest, on the acquisition of two shopping centres from Merlin Properties Socimi.
Baker McKenzie’s Real Estate team, led by Guillermo Rodrigo and with the participation of Paloma Alcón and Camila Delgado, has advised real estate fund Indotek.
The purchase includes two Merlin Properties shopping centres: Factory Bonaire in Aldaia (Valencia) and Vilamarina in Viladecans (Barcelona). With this transaction, Indotek will increase the surface of its commercial assets in the Iberian Peninsula, although it already has 6 hotels (around 1300 rooms) located in various locations along the Mediterranean coast.
The Factory Bonaire centre (Aldaia, Valencia) has 60 shops, a surface area of 11,000 square metres and a further 7,000 square metres to be developed. Factory Bonaire houses outlet shops of popular Spanish brands such as Desigual, Décimas and Mango, as well as other multinationals such as Adidas, Guess, Nike and Puma.
The Vilamarina shopping centre (Viladecans, Barcelona), with 80 shops, has a shopping area of more than 32,000 square metres. Its shops include Spanish brands such as Cortefiel, Women’secret, La Casa del Libro and Décimas, as well as other international fashion chains, sports shops and leisure and restaurant establishments.
