Bird & Bird advises on the double acquisition to boost BioClever’s international growth
Bird & Bird Spain has legally advised Henko Partners in the transaction where it has made two acquisitions to enhance BioClever’s international growth.
The legal team was formed by Santiago Lardiés (partner) and Julieta Bermúdez (associate). Santiago is a partner in the corporate and M&A department in the Madrid office and Julieta is an associate in the M&A department in the Madrid office.
Henko Partners, the private equity manager of spanish and portuguese SMEs, has acquired a majority stake in French companies PopsiCube and MissionTEC. They specialize in full-service clinical contract research. This will boost the international growth of BioClever, the Barcelona-based company that is a leader in full-service clinical trials and studies.
With this acquisition Henko Partners counts on a partnership between PopsiCube, MissionTEC, BioClever and Henko. This is a major step towards the creation of a comprehensive solution for the European life sciences sector. This new project puts the companies in an ideal position to take advantage of the vast growth opportunities present in the CRO sector across Europe.
