RyC and GA_P advises on a syndicated corporate financing transaction of up to 97.5M

Ramón y Cajal Abogados has advised the group of companies belonging to Grupo Chamartín and Alueuropa in the formalisation of a syndicated corporate financing operation with the financial institutions led by Banco Santander, in its capacity as coordinating entity and sustainability agent, BBVA, Caixabank, Banco Sabadell, Abanca, and Ibercaja.

The financial entities were legally advised by Gómez Acebo y Pombo.

The transaction was closed on 30 March, and the Ramón y Cajal Abogados team was led by our partners Amado Giménez Bono (finance) and Joaquín García Bernaldo de Quirós (environment and urban planning), assisted by lawyers Alberto París, Saúl Dávila, and Santiago Bueno.

The financing has been structured through the granting by the banking syndicate of a senior sustainable loan, structured in 4 tranches depending on its destination, and through a framework agreement of bilateral national and international commercial risk lines, for an overall amount of up to 97.5 million euros.

The operation will allow this family group of companies, founded in 1980, to consolidate its position as one of the national leaders in the extrusion, lacquering, machining and anodising of aluminium with 4 production centres with a capacity of 72,000 tonnes per year, as well as the production of irrigation systems, with the aim of maintaining its line of growth and international expansion with a presence in more than 60 countries.
