The second edition of Cuatrecasas Challenge announces its winners
Cuatrecasas has completed the second edition of the Cuatrecasas Challenge and the winning couple is Andrea Santamaría Martínez (pictured left), from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and María del Mar García-Delgado Lastra (pictured right), from Universidad de Salamanca. Natalia Gracia Gómez, from ESADE (Barcelona), and Javier Muñoz Rodríguez, from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, were also semi-finalists.
Both couples will receive financial aid to study for the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession or Double Master’s Degree with specialization, as well as the opportunity to complete their Master’s degree internships in the area of their choice at Cuatrecasas.
After receiving more than sixty applications, the sixteen selected candidates, from twelve different universities, submitted their first written defense in january. And to round off the competition, on thursday 23 february, the eight finalist pairs created at random defended, in an oral phase, the case they have been working on since last December.
The defence focused on a multidisciplinary case, created and proposed by the Cuatrecasas Knowledge and Innovation team, which addresses key issues in the field of business law affecting the areas of Tax, Commercial, Litigation and Arbitration and Labour Law.
