Sérvulo advises on the acquisition of Edificio Lisboa

Sérvulo has advised the Pension Fund of the Portuguese Commercial Bank, managed by Ageas (Sociedade Gestora de Fundos de Pensões), on the acquisition of 16 flats of Edificio Lisboa, located in Parque das Nações, from Kancelaval (Sociedade Imobiliária). This company is a subsidiary of the Marathon group.

Manuel Magalhães, partner and head of the real estate, urbanism and tourism department, led the Sérvulo & Associados team during this complex operation. The firm advised on multiple aspects and areas of law, namely real estate, urban planning, tax and insurance, including carrying out the buyer due diligence, negotiating the SPA, and the buyer-side acquisition insurances.

The multidisciplinary team included Maria João dos Santos, consultant in the finance & governance department, and the coordinator of the work, Filipa Névoa, consultant, Carla Parreira Leandro, principal associate, Francisca Saldanha Monteiro, Pedro Joao Domingos, Inês Mundel Calado and Inês Borges Gonçalves, associates, as well as Maria Luísa Esgaib Borges, trainee lawyer. All of them belong to the real estate, urban planning and tourism area. The team also includes Teresa Pala Schwalbach and associate Henrique Brito e Faro, representatives of the tax department and Francisco Boavida Salavessa and the lawyer Luís Monteiro Romão as representatives of the insurance department.

Kancelaval, the owner of Edificio Lisboa, was assisted by PLEN, Sociedade de Advogados. The transaction was completed on the 20th of December of 2022.
