KWM inaugurates its new technologies department

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has inaugurated its new technologies, intellectual property and industrial property department in Spain.

To lead and develop the area, the firm has hired Samuel Martinez (pictured right), a lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in these practice areas and in the implementation of new technologies in financial services,

Martinez holds a law degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and an executive master’s degree in corporate law and corporate finance from Centro de Estudios Garrigues.

“With the incorporation of this practice, the firm responds to one of the current needs of the market: advice on the implementation of new technologies and the evolution that in many cases this entails in the more traditional sectors,” explains its managing partner, Carlos Pazos (pictured left).
