Ceca Magán: Santiago Torent to head Barcelona office
Ceca Magán hires Santiago Torent to head its Barcelona office. The new partner of the Commercial and Restructuring Department has extensive executive experience and a professional career of more than 20 years, assuming managerial functions in the last ten years.
In addition to this incorporation, Patricia Rosell, a partner in the litigation department in the Barcelona office, has joined the team of partners in the litigation department currently comprising Emilio Gude and Jesús Carrasco at national level.
“These moves are part of the law firm’s strategy to strengthen the Catalan office and begin a new stage of leadership and growth, in a place where we have high hopes”, says managing partner Esteban Ceca.
Santiago Torent holds a law degree from the University of Barcelona and a master’s degree in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and restructuring operations from ESADE Business & Law School. His career highlights include his time at Crowe Horwath, where he led the restructuring practice, and at Lener, where he led the corporate practice and headed the Barcelona office. Torent specialises in restructuring operations, structured finance and complex transactions for national and international companies. Throughout his career he has participated in high-profile transactions, including advising on the FAGOR insolvency and the restructuring of the CNA Group.
Patricia Rosell, who has almost 20 years of experience, specialises in pre-litigation and litigation advice in the civil and commercial fields, especially in highly complex litigation. A graduate in Law from the University of Barcelona, she combines her professional career with teaching on the ESADE Business & Law School’s Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession.
Throughout her professional career, previously at Baker McKenzie, PWC and Lener, she has handled important legal proceedings in construction and real estate matters, distribution and agency contracts, international sales and purchases, unfair competition, asset purchase and sale contracts, corporate disputes and, in general, complex proceedings.
