KWM on the acquisition of a majority stake in La Finca

King & Wood Mallesons has advised the French private equity company, Capza, on the acquisition of a majority stake in Grupo La Finca, a firm specialised in meat’s breeding and marketing.

Grupo La Finca is also one of the main suppliers for, among others, Five Guys, Goiko Grill, TGB and the chef Dani García’s and Grupo La Máquina’s restaurants. Following Capza’s investment, La Finca will promote new business lines and diversify its product range, strengthening its presence in the “ready to eat” segment.

On the other hand, Capza is a European private investment manager with €6.1 billion of assets, focused on small and mid-cap companies. By this deal, it will acquire a majority stake in La Finca from the Jiménez Barbero’s family, historical owners of the company.
