Cerejeira Namora hires Maria Emília Teixeira as new of counsel

Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão has reinforced its Civil Law practice with the integration of Maria Emília Teixeira

Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão, has strengthened its ​​Civil Law practice with the hiring of Maria Emília Teixeira (pictured), who, according to Nuno Cerejeira Namora founding partner of the firm, stated: “This is a clear bet on the growth of our activity for one of the most decisive sectors of Law in Portugal”.

Maria Emília Teixeira is well known in Legal and academic circles and holds a PhD in Law from the Universidade Portucalense, also because of her proclaimed thesis: “The Swap Contract: Credit Default Swaps and Credit Insurance”.

She is currently a lecturer of the Law Department at the Universidade Portucalense, Infante D. Henrique, in Porto, where she teaches Banking and Insurance Law, Introduction to Law and also, Law of Obligations I and II. She is also a Lecturer in the Post-Graduation in Insurance Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

Nuno Cerejeira Namora added further that: “The hiring of Dr Maria Emília Teixeira not only reinforces our professional team but also our brand positioning and the proximity that we have created over the years.”
