Dentons signs José María García Santos as partner to head its Litigation practice

Dentons has hired José María García Santos, State Attorney who joins Dentons from MA Abogados, as a partner to lead its Litigation practice

Dentons has strengthened its Litigation, Arbitration and Insolvency practice with the signing of State Attorney José María García Santos, who joins the firm as a new partner to lead the firm’s Litigation practice in Spain.

José María García Santos (pictured left) is an experienced Litigation lawyer specialising in Commercial Litigation, who has advised numerous multinational companies in the private sector throughout his professional career. He has extensive experience in Insolvency and Restructuring situations, as well as in White-Coolar Crime proceedings. Before joining Detons, García Santos has been of counsel at MA Abogados and Legal advisor to “LaLiga”, he is also secretary-general of a family office and a multinational agrotechnology company. As a State Attorney, he has represented the Administration before the High Court of Justice of Catalonia and the High Court of Justice of Extremadura and has held the position of head of the Legal Service of the State Agency of Tax Administration in Extremadura.

In addition to his legal practice, he has been a lecturer in Administrative Law and Commercial Law at the Universidad Católica de Ávila, at the School of Legal Practice of the Universidad de Extremadura and at the Centro Universitario Villanueva.
