Freshfields advising Hochtief on €1.5bn Cellnex deal

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is advising Hochtief – a major shareholder in Abertis Infraestructuras (Abertis) – on the sale of Abertis’ 29.9 per cent stake in Cellnex Telecom to Edizione for €1.5 billion.

Cellnex – which has a wireless telecommunication network that currently comprises more than 28,000 sites – provides services in Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland and Spain.

Hochtief, which has almost 54,000 employees, reported sales of €22.6 billion in 2017.

The Freshfields team advising Hochtief includes Madrid-based partner Armando Albarrán (pictured) and associate Carla Gómez.

Edizione – which has equity investments in the infrastructure, mobility services, food and beverage, textiles and clothing, real estate and agriculture sectors – is being advised by Pérez-Llorca.
