Watson Farley & Williams acts for Foresight on Enérgya-VM solar power agreement
Watson, Farley & Williams (WFW) advised infrastructure investment manager Foresight Group on the negotiation of a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with Spain’s Enérgya-VM, a division of Grupo Villar Mir.
The agreement relates to the planned ‘Torre de Cotillas 1’, a 3.9 MW solar farm that will be located in Las Torres de Cotillas in Murcia in south-east Spain.
Contractor Solarig Global Services will build the solar farm – it is anticipated that it will be connected to the grid in the first half of 2019.
Once operational, the solar farm will provide seven gigawatt hours (GWh) of green electricity per year which will be sold under the PPA.
The WFW team was led by Madrid managing partner María Pilar García Guijarro, and included partner David Díez, senior associate Eduardo Dachary and asociada Beatriz Madrigal.
