Two extra prizes to be awarded at Iberian Lawyer 40 under Forty Awards

Iberian Lawyer has announced that two extra prizes will be awarded at this year’s 40 Under Forty Awards, which will be held in Barcelona.

For the first time, outstanding achievement awards will be awarded for both Spain and Portugal, rather than Iberia as a whole as was previously the case.

 At this year’s ceremony there will be two Outstanding Achievement (Law Firm) Awards, one each for Spain and Portugal, as well as two Outstanding Achievement (In-house) Awards, with one covering Spain and one covering Portugal.

Held every two years, Iberian Lawyer’s 40 under Forty Awards honour the leading 40 lawyers across Spain and Portugal under the age of 40. The winners include in-house lawyers as well as lawyers working in private practice.

This year’s awards ceremony will take place at the Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I in Barcelona on 21 September.

The forty winners are informed privately before the awards ceremony and the full list is publicly announced at the event.

As in previous years, the awards ceremony will be preceded by the Iberian Legal Summit. This is an interactive debate enabling general counsel from Iberian and international businesses to discuss their current challenges with managing partners from law firms in Barcelona, Lisbon, and Madrid as well as elsewhere in Europe, the USA and Latin America.
