Cuatrecasas advises Rocket Internet and Grupo Foodpanda on La Nevera Roja deal

Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira advised IT company Rocket Internet and food distributor Grupo Foodpanda on the sale of La Nevera Roja to Just Eat.

 

The transaction was one of a series of sales of Rocket Internet and Grupo Foodpanda companies valued at €125 million. The other deals involved the sales of food distribution companies in Italy (PizzaBo and hellofood Italia), Brazil (hellofood Brazil) and Mexico (hellofood Mexico).

The transaction is subject to approval by competition authorities.

A multidisciplinary team from Cuatrecasas’ Barcelona and Madrid offices advised Rocket Internet and Grupo Foodpanda on the aspects of the transaction subject to Spanish legislation. Partner Kai Christian Fischer led the team with counsels, Diana Rivera, Irene Moreno-Tapia and Alejandro Negro.
