Miranda integrates Oporto firm Amorim Advogados

Lisbon-based law firm Miranda & Associados has announced the integration of Oporto firm Amorim Advogados.

Amorim Advogados specialises in public law, construction and dispute resolution.

As a result of the merger, Tiago Amorim will join Miranda as a partner and lead the firm’s Oporto office.

Miranda managing partner Diogo Xavier Da Cunha said the firm decided to link-up with Amorim in response to increasing client demand for public law, construction, and dispute resolution services.

He added that there had been “considerable challenges to the Portuguese economy, but in some areas we are seeing a rise in productivity and many companies are once again looking to develop their international and export profiles.”

Xavier Da Cunha continued: “The integration of the Amorim team, not only enhances our domestic platform and strengthens several of our practices, such as public law, construction and dispute resolution – which have been very active in the recent past – but also gives our clients in the region wider local support in terms of access to the entire Miranda Alliance network”.
