ISDE law degree launched in partnership with Complutense University

Law school ISDE has launched a new law degree course in partnership with the Complutense University of Madrid.

As part of the ISDE course, students will also study at Columbia University in New York and at Cambridge University’s Woolfson College in the UK.

A statement issued by ISDE, which was founded by a group of leading law firms in Spain, said: “The new degree in law will have an eminently practical approach, and will include in its studies plan compulsory internships from the first year, and throughout the four years, during the month of July.”

The statement added that ISDE has a placement rate “in the vicinity of 95 per cent of the students that have graduated satisfactorily”.

Members of ISDE’s faculty include partners and lawyers from law firms including Uría Menéndez, Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo and Baker & McKenzie.

Clifford Chance, DLA Piper, Linklaters, Ashurst, Pérez-Llorca, Jones Day, Osborne Clarke and CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo are among the other firms represented on the faculty.

ISDE director Juan José Sánchez Puig said: “The success of this new project and ISDE’s own, is that training is imparted by the best law firms, whether these are national, international or boutiques.”
