Linklaters instructed on Viesgo acquisition

Linklaters advised Viesgo on the acquisition of a 44.94 per cent stake in Barras Electric Galaico Asturianas, SA (Begasa).

The stake was value at €97m, according to Mergermarket data.

A Viesgo statement said the deal would strengthen its position in Asturias and Galicia and demonstrated the company´s commitment to increasing its “long-term investments in Spain”.

Begasa currently operates in northeastern Spain, has over 9,000 kilometers of network and around 170,000 customers, mainly in Lugo (Galicia).
