There is no doubt that the Iberian projects sector has been significantly affected by the economic downturn, say the region’s lawyers. Austerity drives by the Spanish and Portuguese Governments have seen projects cancelled, delayed or reduced as public spending has been cut, access to bank financing has become more difficult and the viability of many projects is questioned.
