JLL, Maria Mariniello head legal & compliance Southern Europe
New role at JLL for Maria Mariniello (pictured): she has been appointed head of legal and compliance for the Southern Europe Cluster, which includes Spain, Portugal and Italy.
In the position, she reports to Teresa Martin, JLL’s newly appointed EMEA general counsel. The latter previously held the very same role that is now held by Mariniello.
The new organisation has been in place since this summer. Maria Mariniello, in JLL since December 2021, was JLL’s head of legal & compliance for Italy.
THE PROFILE
Lawyer and corporate lawyer, throughout her career Mariniello has gained experience in corporate and commercial law, m&a, compliance and risk management, general affairs, internal audit and corporate governance in various regulated sectors (telecommunications, energy, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, agro-industrial, tobacco, real estate and construction), handling transactions in Italy and abroad.
Formerly a partner in FGALEX Sta, Mariniello was General Counsel at Princes Industrie Alimentari, after having worked for a long time with the Maccaferri Industrial Group, for which she was Head of Legal Affairs at Manifatture Sigaro Toscano and Senior Manager at SECI. Before that, she worked at Telecom Italia, in the International Legal Affairs department, and at Baker McKenzie.
