Linklaters advises Lamar on Ardian JV deal
Linklaters has advised Lamar Development on its joint venture with Ardian in connection with the acquisition of the building located at 38–40 Calle Alcalá in Madrid, currently owned by Merlin Properties, for its transformation into a luxury residential development.
The transaction forms part of Lamar Development’s strategy to further consolidate its presence in Madrid’s city centre through the comprehensive redevelopment of landmark assets, converting them into high-end residential properties in prime locations.
The deal reinforces continued investor appetite for prime residential repositioning opportunities in central Madrid, particularly in trophy assets with strong redevelopment potential.
The Linklaters team also congratulated Lamar Development and Ardian, as well as their respective advisers, on the successful completion of the transaction.

The transaction was led by partners Adolfo Guerrero and Pablo Medina, alongside counsel José María López San Claudio, with support from Carlos Gil Mesino and Fernando Guerra López.
