DLA Piper announced the integration of González-Luna, Moreno y Armida, a boutique law firm, into its Mexican partnership..
The new arrivals, three partners and nine associates, are best known for their experience on tax-related matters, including FIBRAs, the Mexican equivalent of REITs. With the new team, headcount at DLA Piper Gallástegui y Lozano grows to almost 30 lawyers.
Of the three partners, Ramiro González-Luna focuses his practice on tax advice and consultancy, particularly in corporate and international tax matters. He has extensive transactional experience and previously served in several high-ranking positions within the Mexican Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. He received his J.D., with honours, from Escuela Libre de Derecho, in Mexico.
His partner Luis Carlos Moreno is experienced in customs, foreign trade, corporate and international tax matters, and he also held senior positions within the Mexican Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. He also received his J.D., with honours, from Escuela Libre de Derecho.
Joining Gonzalez-Luna and Moreno in the partnership, Diego Armida focuses on tax and administrative litigation and received his J.D. from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
